- actual radio demonstrations of portable equipment used by amateur radio operators.
- information on local organizations providing training in amateur radio.
- why amateur radio is important and why you cannot depend upon commercial communications during certain types of disasters.
- Survival Tips for Southern Vancouver Island:
How to set-up-house in nature. To make a shelter, find edible food on land and sea, build a fire to meet your needs, how to replenish your water supply, what to do "when nature calls". Basic rules for personal and financial security. A booklet "Survival" written especially for women, but useful to men as well, will be available for $5.00. You won't want to survive without it.
